Tennis anyone? The
Championships, Wimbledon or just simply Wimbledon is the oldest tennis
tournament in the world and considered to be the most esteemed. Since 1877, it has been held at the All
England Club in Wimbledon, London.
Wimbledon is one of the four Grand Slam tennis tournaments among the
Australian Open, French Open and US Open, and is the only tournament still played on grass. This year it will take place June 25th
– July 8th. Wimbledon
traditions include a strict dress code for competitors, spectators snacking on strawberries and cream, Royal patronage, and the absence of sponsor advertising around
the courts.
