The annual National Cherry Blossom Festival is taking place right now, in Washington DC. The city started off with 3,000 Cherry Blossom trees in 1912, when Tokyo's mayor Yukio Ozaki presented them to the United States. Washington DC now has over 3,750 Yoshine Cherry Trees gracing the city's parks. We wish we could plan a trip!
